How we compare

For each supermarket, we choose the lowest-priced eligible single pack: 3 L regular vegetable cooking oil, 2 kg regular sugar (excluding labelled brown and specialty sugars), 2 kg plain wheat/home-baking flour, and 2 kg regular maize flour. Specialty variants, multipacks, “from” prices, out-of-stock listings and unconfirmed pack sizes are excluded. Only complete baskets are ranked; missing prices are never counted as zero. Coverage is limited to listings collected by ShelfSight.
